I’m Lydia, the founder, designer, and creative force behind Under The Sea. Born and raised on the Isle of Man, the sea has always been a part of my story. From childhood summers spent splashing in the waves and collecting shells, to rediscovering the magic of beachcombing as an adult, my love for the coastline runs deep.  

 

After returning to the Island with my husband, Dan, in 2017, I found myself filling my pockets with sea glass wherever I wandered. This passion led to the creation of Under The Sea IOM, a brand dedicated to transforming ocean-tumbled treasures into elegant, handcrafted art and jewellery.  

 

I specialise in creating bespoke pieces that celebrate the raw beauty of the shore. Each gem-like fragment of sea glass is thoughtfully set in sterling silver, turning what was once discarded into something meaningful, minimalist, and timeless. From beachcombing to designing and crafting, I cherish every step of the process—ensuring that each piece finds its perfect home.  

 

Every creation is inspired by the ocean and shaped by the rugged beauty of Manx shores. Though our Island may be small, its breathtaking 99-mile coastline is rich with hidden treasures and spectacular beaches, all of which fuel my creativity.
